Job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Revit Structural Drafter to join our engineering and design team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating engineering concepts and sketches into precise structural construction documents using CAD and BIM software. Distinct from a traditional drafting role, you will use your understanding of structural mechanics to perform preliminary calculations, layout load paths, and detail complex assemblies for both light-frame wood construction and reinforced concrete structures.
WE WILL REQUEST A VOICE NOTE FOR THE SCREENING PROCESS.
Job requirements

Licensing: EIT preferred; SE/PE track is a plus.
Traits: Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication skills.
CAD/BIM Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Structure.
Engineering Tools: Familiarity with basic structural calculators or engineering software modules (e.g., Enercalc, WoodWorks, or similar sizing software) is highly desirable.
Code Familiarity: General understanding of building codes (such as IBC and IRC) and basic familiarity with material standards like ACI (concrete) and NDS (wood).
Soft Skills Required:
Spatial Comprehension: Excellent ability to visualize 3D structural configurations from 2D architectural concepts.
Mathematical Aptitude: Strong fundamental math skills to accurately handle dimensional layouts and basic component calculation inputs.

Reliability: Ability to follow up and see tasks through to completion by committing to the project they’re involved in.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform structural calculations for gravity, lateral, foundation, and retaining systems.
Design wood-frame assemblies (shear walls, joists, beams) and reinforced concrete elements (foundations, slabs, columns).
Develop detailed structural plans, sections, and framing details using AutoCAD and Revit.
Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and project leads to ensure constructability.
